What We Do
The Ellesmere Centre is a non profit making charitable trust managed by a Board of Trustees whose aim is to provide good quality, affordable community facilities for the advancement of education, lectures, arts, sports, social gatherings, other forms of recreation, leisure pastimes and community provision, to the inhabitants of the seven local parishes of Stetchworth, Dullingham, Woodditton, Kirtling, Burrough Green, Brinkley and Westley Waterless.
We are looking for Trustees to join the team. If you are interested please email: sandiewilson@btinternet.com
What people think about the centre
“We are fortunate to have this centre in our community. Its a central hub that caters for all age groups. Its a meeting place for the elderly to enjoy a meal, make new friends and have a chat.
The shop and post office are an integral part of the centre, people are able to get their groceries, news paper and pension.
All this would not be possible without Julie and Andrea who are simply the best, they are always coming up with new ideas to improve the centre ie the sharing shed.
It is testimony to their hard work and dedication that continues to make the centre go from strength to strength.
Well done to all concerned and keep up the good work”
“So glad to have such a brilliant facility in the village. Staff here are always lovely to deal with and the post office is so incredibly helpful!”
“Local and great place for community gathering also a post office and can be hired out for functions and private parties”
“Great community venue, lots to do, great events, and has a wonderful feel about the place. Has sports facilities to hire at very reasonable rates. Well worth a look”
